Burundi - Masha
This lot comes from the Masha Washing Station in Kayanza. The word Masha comes from the Kurundi word “amasho," meaning “herds of cattle,” as this area is known more for its cattle than anything else. Masha Washing station accepts coffee from over 3200 farmers in the region all with around 300 coffee trees, and all reliant on coffee to support their livelihood. In this coffee we're experiencing pastry like sweetness and some very nice brightness. This coffee reminds us of Raspberries, Pomegranates, and Shortbread.
Varieties: Bourbon
Process: Washed
Producer: Masha Washing Station
Region: Gatara, Kayanza, Burundi
Elevation: 1672 masl
In our shops we do all our hand brews on Origami brewers with the Origami conical filter. We follow a simple three pour recipe at a 1:17 ratio.
We do the majority of our initial QC through the cupping process. Once we have released a coffee we do further QC with our Origami hand brewing process. We often tweak things according to what the coffee is showing us. If you ever have questions about brewing, feel free to reach out to us!
We offer free shipping on orders over $65. We Ship out orders on Tuesdays and Fridays.
