Why Single Origin?
A broad term, no doubt. But we believe in exploring the beautiful agricultural product itself: coffee. To us, single origin means sourcing coffee that, at minimum, is from the same cooperative (a group of farmers). In many cases, we highlight precise details such as varietal, plot, and process. By focusing on a single lot, and roasting it in a way that allows it to speak for itself, we open ourselves to the immense world of flavor potential. We begin to taste the variety, process, the soil in which the tree grew, the terroir and climate surrounding it, and in many cases, the specific herritage of the people who grow it.
