Our very first Chiroso; coming to us from Jhon Didier Trujillo in Antioquia, Colombia. We cannot express enough how excited we are to have this coffee in our catalog. Initially believed to be an offshoot of the Bourbon variety it has been recently discovered that it is actually an Ethiopian Landrace Variety similar to the likes of Gesha, Wush Wush, and Pink Bourbon. Chiroso often lends itself to the floral, citrusy, and tea-like flavor profiles we often see in Ethiopian Landrace Varieties and this lot from Jhon is no exception; showing us flavors of Tamarindo, candied grapefruit, and carrying a overall very sweet flavor profile!
